Eden's Child by Bill Drobile © 1978, Arceden Music There are no dreams left within me, nothing innocent remains. Childhood hope falls to bitterness, what is left now is an angry will to be A will to be set free. I was the setting of an ancient sun, guardian of life seed, silent and gleaming. I was the rolling of the ocean waves, fertile and streaming, with seed of being. At one with all that was and was to be. Within each star a chosen destiny. Until I chose the way to freedom. To live and grow a Child of Eden. I was the son of those who walked in fear, followed the calling, one spirit falling. To enter man was to become man's soul, trapped by a life lust, prisoner of earth's trust. To reach toward the heaven's fading light. A memory of what was once delight. This was the choice I made to freedom. To live and die a Child of Eden. There are new dreams rising in me, growing from once barren land. With new hope, I will live them, growing from within myself the strength to see. Once more to be set free! |
